How do I transfer photos from Canon M50 into Computer
The Canon EOS M50 can be used for video blogging about your experiences and feelings, wherever you are. Advanced technology does not just allow for photography, but also allows you to connect to other devices to transfer images and videos.
The Canon EOS M50 does not have WiFi, but you can transfer files to your Canon M50 using a data cable.
Files will be large so use a 5 pin USB cable. You can find it on Amazon. Before you start using the camera, let’s take a look at the steps that you can use to transfer files quickly.
Keep things simple. A 128 GB memory card with a speed up 170MB per second is an option for Canon M50.
6 steps to transfer photos from Canon M50 onto your computer
Step 1
On the side of the USB port is a cap that covers it. To expose the USB port, carefully remove the cap. Insert the data cable you received with your camera. Now insert the shorter end of the wire into your computer.
The camera will be recognized by your computer almost immediately after you plug in the data cables. You will also receive a notification. If you wish to transfer files, you may need to download the necessary software and drives.
Step 2
After you have completed the first step, you will see a message on your screen. This will let you know what has happened to your camera. After installation, you may see this in the upper right corner.
Clicking on this will bring up a list of functions you can use on your camera via the computer. Take the time to read them all and then click on the one that says Transfer files.
Step 3
You will see a list of options for transferring files. Click on the option that says “Open Device to View Data Files”, and it will open. This will open all files in the file explorer.
Step 4
You can view all files on your Canon flip screen DSLR using the file explorer. The DCIM folder is where you will find all your photos and videos.
Step 5
You can now choose all of the videos and photos you have taken with your vlogging camera from the folder to transfer them to your computer.
After you have finished selecting, right-click any image to open a drop-down menu and click the ‘copy option’. You can save a copy of the selected files to the clipboard by clicking on the copy option.
Step 6
You will need to access your computer’s hard drive to transfer files including videos. You will need to create a folder where you want to save and store your files. A removable disk is the only way to create folders.
After creating the folder, click on the right-click icon to paste the file from the drop-down menu.
You will see all files and folders that you have selected from your camera’s camera transferred to your computer’s Hard Drive. To ensure that all files are safely transported to your computer, make sure your camera is on.
