Dell thunderbolt dock, WD 19TB- Key features & specifications
Thunderbolt Input supports display support
The dell thunderbolt dock W19TB can drive an HBR2 (high bit rate 2) PC.
* 3 x FHD @60Hz
* 3 x QHD @60Hz
* 2 x 4K @30Hz
It can power the following HBR3 computers:
* 4 x FHD @60Hz
* 4 x QHD @60Hz
* 2 x 4K @60Hz
This is a unique feature that makes the device stand out as it doesn’t support 4K monitors at 60Hz. Even when they do, you have to use the DisplayLinkTechnology (a USB-based external graphics card) for the same purpose.
It also offers a maximum resolution of up to 5120 x 2880 @ 60Hz using DP 1.2 Thunderbolt. You can connect your high-resolution monitors easily.
Ports available
The Dell Thunderbolt dock 19TB is a great choice for port availability. The backside of the dock has two DisplayPort 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.2 port. The HDMI 2.0 port can be joined to the adjacent multifunction USB-C with alternate display mode DisplayPort.
This means that you can have either an HDMI output video or a USB-C output video. However, it does not allow you to use both simultaneously. The back of the device has a second USB-C port that can be used for video output.
However, you should be careful when using these ports. It may seem a little difficult at first. You will also find two USB 3.1 Type-A ports and a 3.5 mm audio output.
One USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port, one USB 3.0 Gen 1 Type-A port, and one 3.5mm combo headphone Jack are all included in the dock.
You will be able to connect to 12 ports total, which will make it easy for you. There is every possibility that future versions of this dock will include additional ports and an SD card slot.
Power output
The Dell Thunderbolt dock, WD 19TB, also includes a 180 Watt power brick. This can provide charging power of up to 130 Watts to Dell notebooks and 90 Watt for other notebooks. You can also use the power output for accessories and other devices.
A Thunderbolt 3 cable is also included. It establishes a continuous connection with your notebook and can hold a decent amount of length at 0.8 meters.
A button located on the top of the dock acts as a duplicate power button for all compatible Dell computers. This is useful for notebooks with closed lids, where it can be difficult to reach the power button at the same time.
A modular block is located on the left panel. This allows for a Thunderbolt 3 cable to be inserted from the sides. This block can also be used to facilitate a Thunderbolt 3 downstream port on the backside, which can be upgraded to meet more pressing requirements.
Although the dock has a similar feature as its predecessor WD19DC, it still exceeds it in terms of other high-end specifications and features. It can deliver 210 Watts of power and is comparable to its predecessor WD19DC. This is a great step forward for future Dell upgrades like Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4.0 support.

The Dell Thunderbolt dock 19TB is a powerful dock that’s ideal for those who prefer to work with two 4K 60Hz displays. It will increase your work productivity and provide 130 Watts of charging power.
