Seting Up Netgear Wifi Router

Use the DSL microfilter to connect the DSL Netgear port from the router to your phone line. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the computer to the DSL modem. After the router is connected, wait for the booting process to complete.
To access the Netgear setup genie, open a browser. If it does not automatically appear, you can type in http://192.168.01 or http://www.routerlogin.net in the address bar to activate the genie window. Click on the prompt to activate the genie window.
To move to the next step of configuration, click on the option at the bottom. Click on Next to select your country from the drop-down menu. The wizard will detect the type and type of connection.
DSL connections will be identified as PPPoA/PPPoE and will require login details to connect to the internet. Login details will be provided by your ISP to allow you to access the service. Click next to enter your username and password.
These settings will be applied automatically by the router. The ‘take me on the internet’ option will allow you to check if the router can connect to the internet.
If these configurations fail, contact your internet service provider (ISP), to verify that you have the correct login details. To complete the setup, you can try again using the new credentials.
