How to customize filenames on Nikon D5600
Nikon, one of the leading innovators in photography, has many camera options. Nikon HTML5600 are two of them. The default name for the photos taken with this model camera is two. It can be either the sRGB colour space: DSC_1234, or the Adobe RGB color space :-_DSC 1234. Every Nikon DSLR camera has the ability to remember the file number and name of the previous shoot and continue from there. Many find it difficult to choose the right photos, either in the camera itself or after they are uploaded in another digital device. The process of finding the right picture can become a tedious task. We will now discuss how to customize filenames for this Nikon DSLR camera model.
Customizing Filenames on Nikon DSLR D5600
It is easy to modify the filenames on your Nikon D5600 camera if you follow the above-mentioned process.
Step 1
The shooting menu should be opened at the beginning. There are many options under the shooting menu. The scroll up or down arrows on the camera will allow you to select the File naming option. Once you have selected the option, the yellow light will change to indicate that you can proceed. The scrolling is fast and smooth. One should make sure to get to the File naming option.
Step 2
To scroll through the Multi Selector, press the right arrow. Scrolling the numbers and letters allows one to select the characters they want to use.
Step 3
To select and insert any characters, press the middle button on the Multi Selector.
Step 4
If an error occurs in the selection, and you need to fix it, one should keep the thumbnail or checkered playback visible in the zoom out. The scroll option in the Multi Selector can be used to remove any character. You can delete any unwanted aspect using the trash can button, which is displayed as an icon.
Step 5
Select the characters you wish to use to personalize the file name. You can add three characters to the same file. To enter the text, select the File naming option. These numbers and letters can only be entered on a single screen. You cannot leave a space between numbers and letters, or insert underscores that are used by default by the camera model. You cannot use special characters to rename the files. The file will be saved as a new image with the new name. Your new input of three characters will appear at the start.
Step 6
Once you have completed the above, press the zoom button or tap the OK symbol in the upper right corner of your screen to return to the shooting menu.
Once you click on a photo, all the images are saved sequentially with any changes. The latest three-character file name will be used to save them. Photos will not be saved with the “DSC” default name. You may recall that customization can only be done to still image filenames and not videos.
