How do I activate Windows 10 Game Mode? Overview
Most gamers are now making the most of Windows 10’s game mode to enhance their gaming experience.
This allows them to make the most of Windows 10’s add-on capabilities and specifications.
The game mode must be turned ON by the gamers during each gaming session in order to use it. Windows 10’s game mode feature uses the system resources and add-ons available to enhance the gaming experience.
Windows 10 Game Mode:
Game mode makes it easier for games to run smoothly. It also allows users to continue gaming without interruptions.
The creators of Windows 10 have created the game mode to increase the system’s resources. It enhances the game’s quality while also limiting background tasks.
Follow these steps to activate game mode:
Step 1.
Navigate to the Start menu. Click the Windows icon at the Desktop’s bottom left. The Game Bar can also be opened by simultaneously pressing the Windows icon key, and the G key.
Step 2.
The Game Bar will open and you’ll see seven icons. These icons can control many features. To access the Game Mode icon, click on the gear icon. This will open the Settings menu.
Step 3.
Click the Gaming button located under Windows Settings.
Step 4.
The Gaming window will now open. To enable Game Mode, you will need to click Game Mode.
Step 5.
Click the button marked “On”. You will find it under the option to use game mode. Click on the Settings gear to ensure that game mode is active for the next session. Click on the Settings gear to open it. Once it opens, check the box marked “Use Game Mode For This Game”.
Step 6.
Click the X to close the window.

Once you have followed the steps above, the game mode will be automatically enabled in all games you play on Windows 10 PC.
Sometimes, the operating system may not recognize your game. This is most common when you play with older titles.
Microsoft doesn’t offer the convenience of listing games that are supported via game mode.
For any game, you can manually alter the Windows 10 settings to turn on the game mode. This can be done by remembering that the app you are currently in is a game.
To do this, open the game in its current state and then launch it by opening the game bar.
You can do it simultaneously by pressing Windows + G on your keyboard. This is the keyboard shortcut to set the game bar on your game bar.
Click or tap on the settings button. It will appear like a gear, and it can be found in the top-right corner of the game.
